Eleven in State Academy & now TSL contracted.
The Burnie Dockers Better Milk Academy
The "Better Milk" Burnie Docker's academy is evidently showing it's growth, we are delighted to inform you that eleven boy's from across the North west and current academy graduates have made it through several cuts to find there way with the under 18 Tasmanian Mariners in January.
Their biggest test is yet to come, when the North - North West take on the talent from the South in game trials to determine the final list for 2017.
We would like to say congratulations to those boys who have made it this far with their young football journey, the pre season and elite standards required will be invaluable for you and your future in the game at the state level. Well done.
Our girls enjoyed premiership success under the guidance of Jamie Bradley, they broke through as under dogs to win the TWSL final for 2016, to follow their on field success three were drafted to the new Women's competition. congratulations to Brittany Gibson, Emma Humphries and Ellyse Gamble.
Xavier Williams has recently became the North West Mariners assistant coach, Xavier will be assisting the u/18 mariners during the 2017 with his role still continuing here with the TSL as the Defensive coach, Xavier has been a pivotal part of the development of our young TSL backline.
Something must be going well with the TSL program, as Jason Ling has been approached and handed a part time position with the Mariners as their fitness assistant, Jason too has been an integral part of the TSL conditioning program and will follow the same path as Xavier and continue the development of our TSL system
Monday’s club training
Lead by or TSL coach we have had Monday night training for all of our teams over the past month, the night has been a huge success with all men, women and junior teams training together.

Harpers here again
2016 West Park medalist Jobi Harper has recommitted to the club for 2017 season, Jobi was a standout last season winning the clubs B&F and representing the state with Clint Riley, John Morrison, Nick & Harry Walters who all have committed to the club for season 2017.
The BFC were trilled to announce our new playing coach Clinton Carpenter, carps has had a illustrious career with the Penguin FC and coached Ridgley to a Grand final back in 2013, His ability to educate, lead and rally on a off the field was instrumental in his appointment, and we look forward to seeing the young lads in action come round one.
