Sports Trainers Wanted

The Burnie Footbal Club have returned tot he NWFL this year, and are urgently seeking volunteers to perform the roles of Sports Trainers for the 2018 season.

These roles will assiste the current Sports Trainer, and are required to be available on Saturdays and some weekday evening training sessions, and will encompass the following"

  • Apply protective, or injury preventative devices such as tapes, bandages and braces.
  • Recognise, evaluate, and manage treatment of muscular and skeletal injuries.
  • Assist with initial critical treatment of concussion injury.
  • Provide First Aid or emergency care, when required.

A current First Aid certification, and the understanding of concussion related injuries is mandatory.

On-the-job training is available for sports taping, and the Club will pay for level 1 Sports Trainer accreditation when the course is next available.
